Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a rich modality that values self expression.  It is a powerful non-verbal therapy that accesses the unconscious through images, symbols and metaphors which can contribute towards health and wellbeing.  Using self-expression as a medium we can see the world in a new way, and in a variety of mediums such as painting, pastels, clay, etc.   Artistic and creative ability is not necessary for Art Therapy to work, only a willingness to explore and to play.

You may make something unexpectedly beautiful in working through a problem.  However, to make a product is not as important or necessary as the process of getting there.
